Hand-Cut Cantilever Desk in Solid Wood with Steel Leg

The top is one long plank that floats clear of the wall on a black steel blade set at an angle. Under the left end an open cubby is framed in the same wood, sized for flat books or a folder. At the right the plank lands on a cabinet with two deep drawers, each pulled by a recessed black handle. The wood is a warm honey brown with open figure and a few filled checks along the edge.

We cut this desk from solid boards, never veneer and never a printed grain. Edges are eased by hand and the surface is finished so the grain stays legible at close range. Since work starts after your order is placed, no two tops repeat. Photographs come to you from the bench as the piece progresses, and we wait for your word before the next stage.

It arrives in parts. Top, steel blade and drawer cabinet are boxed separately, which protects corners in transit and keeps shipping cost sensible.
