Burl began with a simple conviction: that the furniture at the centre of a room should be the one thing you never replace. We work in solid hardwood: walnut, oak, acacia, monkey-pod, chosen board by board for figure and stability.
Our craft
Joined, not glued together
Every piece is crafted from solid wood blocks joined into a single sturdy form that carries the load for decades. The surface is finished to bring out the wood’s natural warmth and true grain, never buried under lacquer. It is heavy because it is solid; it is solid because it is meant to be handed down.
