The working edge sweeps in a shallow crescent, cut from the natural line of the board and then smoothed until it reads as one continuous curve. Grain follows that sweep, mid brown at the left end and pulling toward olive and gold across the middle where light crosses it. A wide plinth leg holds the left side, a deeper drawer block holds the right, and both are faced with wood cut from the same log as the top.

The curve is worked by hand with planes and scrapers, not pressed or laminated, and the whole piece is solid timber rather than veneer over a core. Because top, plinth and drawer fronts come from one run of boards, the color agrees across the desk instead of clashing at the joins. Each desk is built after the order lands, so the crescent on yours differs from every photograph. Stage photos come to you for approval as it is made.
