Two working surfaces meet in the corner, the long arm reaching out from the corner and the short arm running back along the wall. The front of the long arm keeps its natural edge, curving in toward the chair and out again, with pale sapwood following the line. A thick slab leg supports the outer end, its own edge left uncut to the floor. The short arm rests on an open case with two shelves for books.
Both tops and the leg are solid hardwood taken from real boards, with no veneer and no printed pattern involved. The corner joint is cut and fitted by hand so the two arms sit level and the grain carries across the meeting point. Each desk is made after the order comes in, which is why the natural edge on your long arm follows your own slab. Photos at each stage are sent for your approval.
It arrives knocked down, with the two tops, the slab leg and the shelf case packed separately. Corner desks are awkward in one piece, so this keeps them safe and holds shipping down.
