10-Year Structural Warranty

Every Burl piece carries a 10 year structural warranty. If the frame or the joinery fails under normal home use within ten years of delivery, we repair or replace the piece.

What is covered

  • Structural failure of the frame, legs or carcass under normal use
  • Joinery that loosens or separates without misuse
  • Hardware we supplied, such as hinges, slides and pulls
  • Delamination of the finish caused by a fault in our work

What is not covered

  • The natural life of wood: colour deepening with light, grain movement with the seasons, and the patina a surface earns with use
  • Marks, dents and scratches from daily life, which buff or sand out of solid wood
  • Damage from misuse, standing water left on the surface, direct long-term sun, or placement over active heating vents
  • Pieces altered or repaired by someone other than us without our written agreement

Making a claim

Reach out through the contact page with your order number and a few photos. We respond within one business day with next steps. Repairs are our first choice, because keeping a piece in service is the point of building it this way.
