About this piece

The frame rises from a rounded floor plate and sweeps upward in one long curve that narrows as it climbs. Five shelves cross that curve at uneven heights, each shorter than the one below, so the outline reads like a sail seen edge on. The walnut is dark and warm, straight grained on the back panel and more figured along the curved edge.

Every piece is cut and shaped by hand from solid hardwood. Nothing here is veneer and no grain is printed on. Work starts only after your order arrives, so the figure you receive comes from the boards opened for you. Our workshop photographs each stage of the build and sends the images over for your approval before moving on.

The bookshelf ships disassembled, with the curved side, the back panel and each shelf packed on its own. That keeps weight down, cuts freight cost and protects the long curve on the road. Printed assembly instructions ride in the crate, and our team answers questions by email if a step is unclear. Delivery is free worldwide, and returns stay open for 30 days.

Your piece is built for your order, and you stay in control the whole way. We send you photo updates at every stage of the build, from the first cut to the final finish. At each step we wait for your approval: only when you are happy do we move to the next stage, and the piece ships the same way. Until production starts, you can cancel at no cost.

How is it delivered?+

Delivery is free worldwide, with tracking emailed the moment it ships. Assembly is simple, with clear instructions and hardware included. If you ever get stuck, write to hello@burlholt.com and our team walks you through it step by step.

Can I return it?+

Yes. 30 days, honored in full. If it isn’t right, write to us and we make the return simple, with home collection available for oversized pieces.

Built by hand in our Southeast-Asia workshop from solid hardwood, then finished to order.

Dust with a soft cloth and condition the wood with a light coat of furniture oil once or twice a year.
