A single wave runs the full height of this bookshelf, pushing out at the shoulder and drawing back at the waist before it settles onto a rounded foot. Five alcoves sit inside that wave and none of them share a size or a shape. The walnut is deep brown, its figure moving with the curve rather than across it, and the back of each alcove sits set well behind the front edge.

Shaping a curve like this is slow work. The wood is solid throughout, cut and worked by hand, with no veneer laid over it and no printed figure. Each one is made to order, so the wave in your piece carries the pattern of its own boards. Photographs go out from the workshop at each stage and we wait for your word before carrying on.

It arrives disassembled, the wave sections and the shelves packed apart from each other. Splitting it up protects the long curves and keeps shipping cost lower than crating it whole.
