About this piece
Four wide loops stack on top of one another, each turning back on itself so the shelf below becomes the ceiling of the shelf above. Seen from the side the piece reads as one continuous ribbon. The grain runs in long dark stripes across the flat faces and pulls tight around every bend. It stands free of the wall, so both faces stay open and it can split a room.
Every loop is worked by hand from solid wood, shaped and smoothed until the turns feel like one movement. No veneer, no printed figure, nothing applied over the surface. The piece is made after your order, which is why no two ever match. As the loops take shape our workshop sends photographs and waits for your approval before the next stage.
Because of its size the bookcase travels disassembled, each loop wrapped and crated on its own. That protects the curves and keeps the freight bill down. Instructions for putting it back together are printed and packed inside, and our team will walk you through any step by email. Every order ships free worldwide and can be returned within 30 days.
