An oval top with ends rounded like a river stone. The grain runs the long way in copper and honey stripes, broken by dark veins near the right end where the tree changed direction. The edge is eased all the way round, so nothing catches your forearm as you write. Below it two wide arches spring from the floor and lean toward each other, each cut so the grain follows the curve rather than crossing it. The result is a desk you can walk around and read from every side.

Real hardwood, shaped by hand. Arches like these are carved from thick blanks so the wood keeps its own figure through the bend, and there is no veneer or printed pattern anywhere on the piece. The desk is made after your order arrives, which means the vein pattern you receive belongs to that one board.

It travels disassembled. Top and both arch legs are packed as separate parts to protect the curves and keep shipping cost sensible.
