About this piece

A long low case with three shelf levels, open front and back, so books can be reached from either side of the room. The outer corners are rounded over into a soft radius and the case rests on a recessed plinth, which makes the block look like it floats a little above the boards. Dark walnut with a straight, quiet figure.

Cut from solid boards, with the rounded corners shaped on the piece itself rather than glued on as a moulding. No veneer, no printed grain. It is built after your order arrives, so the darker streaks land differently on every case we make.

The case travels apart, shelves, sides and plinth packed as separate pieces with padding between them. That protects the rounded edges and keeps freight from ballooning. Printed instructions come in the crate, and if a shelf will not sit right, email us and we will walk you through it. Free worldwide delivery on all orders, returns accepted for 30 days.

At each step we wait for your approval: only when you are happy do we move to the next stage, and the piece ships the same way. Until production starts, you can cancel at no cost.

Delivery is free worldwide, with tracking emailed the moment it ships. Assembly is simple, with clear instructions and hardware included. If you ever get stuck, write to hello@burlholt.com and our team walks you through it step by step.
