Leaf-Pod Bookshelf Carved with Nine Open Cells

Nine hollowed pods sit inside one leaf shaped body, each opening a different size and angle. The outer edge runs from a wide rounded end to a tapered tip, and the rims stay rounded all the way around so light catches the curve. Grain flows along the length of the leaf rather than across it, with darker streaks gathering near the thicker sections. Books lie flat inside the pods and small pottery stands in the wider openings.

The body is carved from real solid wood, worked down until the pods break through and the walls thin out evenly. Nothing here is veneer or printed grain. We build only after an order arrives, which is why the figure across your leaf will not match anyone else's. Photos go out from the bench at each stage so you can approve the work as it develops.

For shipping we take the piece apart into its main sections and wrap each one separately. That keeps handling damage down and holds freight cost lower than a single oversized crate.
