A central stem carries angular openings out to both sides, the way leaves leave a stalk. No two bays repeat. Some come to a point, some square off, some run deeper than the rest and keep their contents in shadow. The walnut carries a strong stripe that crosses the front faces and continues into the returns. It stands taller than a person and stays open at the back.
It is cut from solid wood and worked by hand, with the openings shaped one at a time rather than routed to a single pattern. No veneer, no printed figure. Made to order means the stripe running through your piece comes from its own boards. Photographs arrive from the workshop as each stage finishes, for you to approve before the next one starts.
The piece ships disassembled, with the stem and the branch sections packed apart. That keeps the long points from taking a knock and holds freight cost down.
