A single slab runs the length of the wall with the live edge left along the front, so the front line dips and swells instead of holding straight. The wood is pale and open grained, close to raw at the surface. Under one end the base twists in a wide S, folding forward at the floor and lifting back up into the underside of the top. Grain follows that curve the whole way without a break.
Top and base are cut from real solid wood, then shaped by hand until the turn reads as one motion. Nothing is veneered and no grain is printed. Work begins only after your order lands, so the figure you receive comes from the boards picked that week. Photos of each stage go to you for approval before the next step starts.
The table travels in parts, each wrapped on its own so nothing rests on anything else. That lowers damage risk and keeps freight cost down.
