Two-Drawer Console Table with a Crossed Ribbon Base

Two drawers run side by side under a flat top, their fronts cut so the grain carries straight across the gap between them. Below, two flat ribbons of wood cross in the middle and sweep outward to meet a low plinth that doubles as a bottom shelf. The wood is warm and strongly figured, with dark streaks pulling through pale amber. There are no handles on the drawer fronts, just a shadow line along the top edge.

Drawer boxes, top, ribbons and plinth are all made from solid hardwood. The curved legs are shaped by hand and fitted so the crossing point looks like one continuous band. Nothing here is veneer over board. Each table is built after your order is placed, which is why the grain match across the drawers is unique to your piece.

For safety the console ships disassembled. Drawers, top and base travel in their own wrapping, which reduces the chance of damage and lowers the cost of sending it.
