About this piece

Every corner is rolled over, so the block looks pressed from a single sheet that curls down at both ends and back under itself. A long opening runs through the middle: a drawer on one side, a clear shelf on the other for books you keep in reach. The top holds a soft ripple along its front edge.

This one starts as several solid boards joined face to face, cut to the curve, then worked back until the bend flows without a flat spot. The finish is sanded fine and sealed with clear oil, so what you see is the actual grain of the wood, not a printed layer.

Made once you order, then broken down into panels for the journey so nothing catches a corner and the freight stays reasonable. Assembly is a short job with the hardware and diagram supplied. Write to us if a panel or fitting puzzles you and we will sort it out.

At each step we wait for your approval: only when you are happy do we move to the next stage, and the piece ships the same way. Until production starts, you can cancel at no cost.

Delivery is free worldwide, with tracking emailed the moment it ships. Assembly is simple, with clear instructions and hardware included. If you ever get stuck, write to hello@burlholt.com and our team walks you through it step by step.
