Both ends open into a long oval, cut clean through the body, so the table reads as a single rounded volume rather than a top sitting on legs. Walk around it and those openings frame the floor differently from every angle.
Blocks of solid wood are joined into that mass before the ovals are cut, then every corner is rounded and softened by hand. Stripes of dark and pale grain wrap the outside without a break, running over the shoulders and down into the cutouts. A clear low sheen finish protects the surface and conceals none of it.
Each one is produced against a real order and never held in stock. It comes to you in separate components, foam wrapped and braced so the carved openings arrive as they left, and so you are not charged oversize freight.
