Loopwave Sculptural Hardwood Coffee Table for Living Rooms

Two loops, one line. The base twists into a figure that opens on both sides and meets itself in the middle, and the rounded top sits on it as though it grew there. From the front you look through the loops to the floor behind. From the side the whole table becomes a single stroke of wood with no obvious beginning.

Solid wood blocks are joined into a mass and then shaped down to this form, which is why the loops can turn without a joint breaking the curve. The finish is close and low sheen, holding the grain visible as it bends around each opening. Color moves from honey on the top face to a deeper brown where the wood turns under.

Yours is built to order in the workshop rather than picked from stock. The top and the looped base come packed apart with the curved faces guarded, which prevents knocks and keeps freight from ballooning. Setting the top in place is a two-minute job with the instructions included, and we are here if it does not go smoothly.
