About this piece

A wandering live edge runs the whole length of the top, and below it a full width shelf catches the magazines that usually end up on the floor. Two plank legs carry the weight, set in from the ends so the slab seems to hover over the rug.

Blocks of solid hardwood are joined into that slab, then the legs and shelf are cut to follow the same grain direction. Pale sapwood, dark heart and a few natural fissures all stay where they grew. The surface is sanded through fine grits and sealed in a low sheen finish, so nothing is painted over or filled in.

Each table is started after your order arrives, not pulled from a warehouse rack. It travels disassembled and padded, which protects the corners on the road and keeps the freight bill down. Bolting the legs and shelf to the top is a one person job with the hardware and printed guide included. Our workshop answers by email if a step gives you trouble.

Your piece is built for your order, and you stay in control the whole way. We send you photo updates at every stage of the build, from the first cut to the final finish. At each step we wait for your approval: only when you are happy do we move to the next stage, and the piece ships the same way. Until production starts, you can cancel at no cost.

Delivery is free worldwide, with tracking emailed the moment it ships. Assembly is simple, with clear instructions and hardware included. If you ever get stuck, write to hello@burlholt.com and our team walks you through it step by step.
