About this piece
Half of this table is storage. The other half is open air. On the left a squared case holds two drawers with round wooden knobs. On the right the top peels downward into a deep half-circle that curls back on itself and touches the floor. The two halves belong to the same slab, so the eye reads it as one gesture with a box attached.
Solid wood blocks are joined into thick panels, then the sweeping side is shaped until the curve holds its own weight without a bracket. Grain runs continuously across the top and over the curve, dark and swirling in places, quieter in others. The drawer fronts are finished to the same depth so the case does not read as an afterthought.
Nothing is pre-built. Once you order, we cut and shape yours. The curved section and the drawer case travel as separate packages with the shaped edges protected, which is both safer and cheaper to move. Putting them together needs no special tools and the instructions are inside.
