About this piece

An oval top overhangs a deep rounded base that curves like a drum and opens in the middle to form a shelf. The base's curved face shows sweeping grain from top to bottom.

We build the drum from solid hardwood and shape the curve by hand, then fit the oval top. The finish is a warm matte. It is made to order, and the workshop sends photos as it is built.

The open shelf is useful for books or a folded blanket. It ships with the top separate from the base, printed steps and email support. The oval coffee table on a drum base with an open shelf ships free to any country and can be returned within 30 days.
