About this piece

Heavy, flowing swirls pour down this tall panel, and the top and bottom edges ripple as though the wood itself had melted. The carving is deep, so strong shadows form between the ridges. The overall effect is dramatic but still natural, closer to eroded stone than to a pattern.

Carved from solid hardwood by hand, the panel is sanded through every channel and finished to a warm, low sheen. Its depth means the grain changes tone as it curves. We make each one after an order is placed and send photos from the workshop.
