About this piece

Nothing about this top runs straight. The outline wanders like the edge of a lake, wide at one end and pulled into a soft point at the other, and the pale gold surface carries streaks of darker heartwood that shift as you move around it. Two thick tapered plinths hold the whole thing low to the floor.

The top and the plinths are built from solid wood blocks joined edge to edge, then shaped and sanded back until the grain reads clearly under an open finish. No print, no veneer. Each one is cut and worked after you order, so the figure in your table belongs to your table alone.

It travels to you in parts, with the top separated from the base so nothing takes a knock on the way and freight stays reasonable. Fitting the base back on takes a few minutes with the printed instructions packed in the crate. If anything looks unclear, message us and we will walk you through it.

At each step we wait for your approval: only when you are happy do we move to the next stage, and the piece ships the same way. Until production starts, you can cancel at no cost.
