The underside is where the work shows. A row of arches has been scooped out of the body, each one hollowed until the wall is thin enough to catch light along its inner curve, while the top stays a broad flat plane with a live edge running down one flank.
It starts as stacked solid hardwood blocks bonded into a single mass, then material is removed until the arches appear. Burl clusters, pale sap and dark heartwood all sit inside that one continuous piece. A hand rubbed oil finish leaves the grain open to the touch rather than sealed under gloss.
Nothing here is mass produced; each table is cut for one customer. To reach you intact the piece ships in parts, cushioned and braced, which also keeps freight from becoming the most expensive line on the order. You reassemble it with the included fittings and a short illustrated guide, and we stay reachable if a joint fights you.
