Carved A-Frame Legs, Coffee Table in Solid Timber

Look underneath first. The legs splay out in an A shape and meet the shelf in a joint that is carved rather than screwed, giving the table a slight forward lean that keeps it from feeling heavy. Above them sits a long top with softened corners and a shallow curve along the front, the kind of shape you walk past without catching a hip.

Each leg starts as a solid block and is shaped with drawknife and rasp until the taper flows into the foot. Top and shelf are jointed panels of solid wood, worked flat and sanded fine. A hand rubbed oil finish leaves the surface matte and warm, and the streaks of dark heartwood stay in plain sight.

Made when ordered, in your chosen dimensions. The table ships in flat, well padded sections so the slender legs never take a knock, and the smaller cartons keep freight affordable.
