About this piece

Nothing about this top has been straightened out. The outline wanders, the bark rim is thick and fissured, and the figure across the surface swirls where the tree once branched. It sits on wide plank legs, with an oval shelf below holding books at just the right height to reach from a low chair.

The panel is built from solid wood blocks joined edge to edge, then flattened and hand sanded so the natural rim survives the process intact. Loose sections are consolidated before finishing. A matte sealer goes on thin, enough to guard against spills while leaving the surface honest to the touch.

This one is cut to order in the length you need. Legs and shelf detach for transit, which stops the heavy top resting on anything fragile and trims the shipping weight. The box holds all fixings plus a simple guide with photos. If the shelf does not sit level on your floor, get in touch and we will help you correct it.
