About this piece

At first it reads as one solid block of golden wood sitting square on the floor. Walk around it and the arches appear. A tall opening on each face, cut clean through to an inner shelf where books can live below the surface. The corners are rounded soft enough to lean against.

It is made from thick solid wood boards joined into a hollow box, then shaped so the outer skin flows unbroken over the edges. The finish is a clear satin that keeps the pale sapwood and the darker streaks exactly as the tree grew them. Each table is cut to order.

Shipping happens in flat sections rather than as one heavy cube, which is safer for the corners and much kinder on freight. The panels lock together with the hardware supplied and a step by step sheet in the box. If the fit feels tight, contact us before you force anything.
