About this piece

A cylinder with arches cut through it, and a round top set over the whole thing. That is the entire idea. The openings run right around, so from any seat you see through the base to the floor beyond, and the mass stays quiet instead of blocking the room.

Built from solid wood staves joined into the drum, then trued and shaped so the outside reads as one curved wall. The arches are cut and smoothed by hand where a machine cannot reach. Finished with clear oil after fine sanding, which keeps the grain readable across every stave.

Yours is cut once the order is placed. Top and base come apart for the journey, a habit that saves the arched openings from knocks and keeps the shipping charge from climbing. Setting it up takes minutes with the instructions in the crate. If a step is not obvious, our team will explain it.
