About this piece

Two ovals cross at the middle and knot into a figure eight. That knot is the entire structure. There are no doors and no legs. Shelves float inside the left oval for a receiver and a small speaker, while the right oval stays wide open for records filed on their edges. Vases sit on the level top.

Building the eight means joining solid wood blocks into thick rings, then carving both loops until they meet cleanly at the crossing point. Only a close finish is applied, so the grain sweeps around each oval and darkens where the wood turns. Nothing is veneered over. Every piece is made to order.

The two loops travel separately, packed flat and padded, which is both safer for the shaped edges and cheaper to send than one bulky body. Bolts and locators come fitted, and the illustrated guide covers the join. Contact us during assembly and we will stay with you until it is standing.

Your piece is built for your order, and you stay in control the whole way. We send you photo updates at every stage of the build, from the first cut to the final finish. At each step we wait for your approval: only when you are happy do we move to the next stage, and the piece ships the same way. Until production starts, you can cancel at no cost.

Delivery is free worldwide, with tracking emailed the moment it ships. Assembly is simple, with clear instructions and hardware included. If you ever get stuck, write to hello@burlholt.com and our team walks you through it step by step.
