About this piece

A single sculpted spine rises in soft bends, and five shelves spring from it at staggered lengths, ending in a long base shelf that runs along the floor. Seen from the side, it is almost calligraphic.

The spine and shelves are shaped by hand from solid hardwood, each joint sanded until the curve looks continuous.
