Six-Drawer Media Console in Walnut, Made to Order

Six drawers, two rows of three, and nothing else to work out. Each front carries a carved scoop above the ring pull so your hand knows where to go before your eyes do. The cabinet stands clear of the floor on tapered legs, which keeps the whole run of drawers reading light in a dark room and makes cleaning underneath simple.

The carcass and the fronts are solid wood, cut from consecutive boards so the flame figure sweeps from one drawer to the next across the whole face. Those scoops are carved into the thickness of the front rather than applied, and the rings are turned brass that will warm as it ages. Finishing is done by hand at a low sheen so the grain stays open to the touch.

Build starts when your order does, and the console ships in flat packed sections with the drawers boxed separately. That protects the runners and the brass on the way and keeps the freight from costing more than it should. The instructions cover every fitting, and our workshop replies quickly if a drawer needs adjusting once it is in place.
