Seen from above, the front of this console bends like a river, pulling back in the middle and pushing forward at both ends. That shape is not decoration alone: the deeper ends take drawers and a woven box, while the shallow middle leaves your walking room clear. Rounded end panels roll down to the floor so there is not a hard corner anywhere on it.
The whole body comes from solid wood blocks joined and then shaped to that curved plan, top and sides following one continuous line. Fronts and panels are matched by grain so the swirl travels around the bend without a break. The finish is close to the surface, dark and warm, with the pores left visible rather than filled in.
Nothing is held in stock, so yours is cut to order and sent out disassembled with the curved panels protected at the edges. Shipping it flat avoids damage on the long side panels and keeps the cost of getting it to you reasonable.
