The body lifts onto two cylinders at the ends, which keeps the base clear of the rug and the shadow line clean.
Thick blocks of solid wood are joined edge to edge, then cut and worked until the hexagons meet in crisp points and the outer frame flows around them. Sanding and finishing bring out the grain instead of covering it, so every cell wall shows its own figure. Built to order, one at a time.
