About this piece

A long capsule, rounded at both ends, sitting low against the floor. Three drawers fill the lower half, an open shelf runs above them for a teapot or a tray, and from across the room the whole silhouette reads as a single unbroken form.

The rounded ends are built up from solid wood blocks, glued and shaped until the curve runs true, then finished until the deep reddish grain comes forward. Drawer fronts are cut in sequence from the same stock so the figure continues across them. Every console is made after the order arrives.

Delivery comes in more than one carton. The end curves, the drawer bank and the top ship separately so nothing is crushed on the way, and smaller packages keep the freight down. Assembly is a short job with the included instructions, and we are here if you want a hand.

At each step we wait for your approval: only when you are happy do we move to the next stage, and the piece ships the same way. Until production starts, you can cancel at no cost.
