The right side stands on a leg shaped into a long S, a thick slab of dark walnut bent through the middle and flaring where it meets the floor. It holds a top whose front edge is left live, waving in and out with light sapwood tracing the boundary and old bark pockets sitting in the deepest curves. The left end rests on a three drawer cabinet with rounded corners and slim black pulls. Color runs from plum brown to caramel.
Every part is solid wood cut from real boards, so the dark figure runs through the leg and the cabinet sides instead of sitting on a printed skin. The S leg is shaped by hand and sanded until the curve reads clean. Because the desk is made to order, the live edge on your top is the edge of your own slab. During the build the workshop sends photos at each stage and waits for your approval.
The desk ships knocked down, top, sculpted leg and drawer cabinet each packed on their own. That protects the shaped leg and the live edge and lowers freight.
