Assembly & Care

Assembly. Each piece ships in parts for safe transit and assembles easily, with clear instructions and the hardware included.

Care. Dust weekly with a soft dry cloth. Once or twice a year, wipe on a thin coat of furniture oil and buff off the excess. Wipe spills promptly. Avoid silicone sprays and supermarket polishes.

Placement. Keep the piece away from active heating vents and constant direct sun, in a room with reasonably stable humidity. Full care guide

Shipping & Return

Shipping. Free on every order, worldwide. Estimated delivery is 12 to 17 business days: 7 to 10 to prepare your piece and 5 to 7 in transit. Orders placed after 5:00 PM PST are processed the next business day. Tracking is emailed within 1 to 2 business days of dispatch.

Changes. To change or cancel an order, email hello@burlholt.com within 6 hours of placing it.

Returns. Return an unused piece within 30 days of delivery, in its original condition and packaging with all hardware. We cover return shipping for items that are defective, damaged in transit or incorrect. Custom or personalized pieces cannot be returned. Approved refunds are processed within 2 business days of inspection.

About this piece

A long walnut top with rounded ends sits on one wide plinth leg and steps down at the right into a return unit. That unit holds two open shelves at book height and a closed cabinet with a curved outer face. The grain runs the length of the top in dark bands, and the same figure carries around the rounded corner of the return where the light falls on it.

The desk is cut from solid walnut boards, with the thick edges shaped by hand rather than banded on. No veneer, no printed grain. Because each piece is made after the order arrives, the run of colour on your top comes from your own boards. Our makers photograph every stage and wait for your reply before continuing.

Shipping is done in parts. The top, the plinth leg and the return cabinet travel packed separately, which lowers the chance of a damaged edge and keeps the freight cost down. Printed assembly instructions come in the crate and our team helps by email if a step reads unclear. Free worldwide delivery, tracking by email, 30 day returns.
