About this piece

This vertical form twists around two open teardrop voids and tapers to fine points at both ends. It suggests a musical note without spelling it out, and the twist means each view shows a slightly different profile.

Carved by hand from solid hardwood, the surfaces are sanded continuously through the twist so light slides across them. The twisted teardrop note wall sculpture in wood is sealed to a soft matte so the wood keeps its natural tone. We make it to order and share progress photos from the bench.
