Straight-Grain Walnut Desk for a Working Home Office

This one keeps every line straight. A flat walnut top runs between a full panel leg on the left and a three drawer pedestal on the right, and the top overhangs both by an even margin so the shadow underneath draws a clean line. Grain runs lengthwise in quiet parallel bands, and the pedestal drawer fronts carry the same figure stacked one above the other. The pulls are slots cut into the top edge of each front.

The panels are solid walnut, thick enough to be joined at the corners rather than screwed to a hidden frame, and there is no veneer or printed grain anywhere on it. Drawer boxes are fitted individually so they run without sticking in humid weather. Every desk is made after the order comes in, which is why the pairing of boards is decided for you.
