One continuous length of walnut, hooked around on itself. The wide end opens into a deep scoop that holds shadow like a bowl, then narrows, sweeps across, and finishes in a tight little spiral at the far end. Hung by a door or along a hallway, it works as a single confident gesture rather than a picture.

The curl is formed from solid wood blocks joined end to end, then carved and sanded until the joins vanish and the shape reads as one unbroken piece. The grain does something particular here: it follows the sweep, so the figure stretches along the outer curve and gathers tight inside the spiral. The finish keeps that grain visible and leaves the surface smooth enough to invite a hand. Each one is carved to order.

It ships broken down into a few sections, which protects the delicate spiral and the thin tapered tip while keeping shipping costs sane.
