One Board, a Trout Mid-Leap, Carved as a Wall Relief

Anglers usually look at the fins first. The dorsal is raised in its own plane, the tail sweeps back into a bed of carved water lines, and the body arcs across the board with a slight twist that reads as movement rather than a fish pinned flat. The rest of the panel is left calm so the trout has room to move.

The board is solid hardwood, made from blocks joined and then carved together as one, with the ridged flank and every fin ray cut line by line. Nothing here is printed or burned on. Careful sanding and an oil finish keep the wood's own figure showing through the fish and the water alike, and the tone deepens a little as it ages on your wall. Each panel is carved once your order comes in.
