Two live edges meet at the corner, the front of the desk rising and falling the way the tree grew. Pale sapwood and dark mineral streaks run along that edge, then the surface flattens into clear reddish brown across both arms. Under it the frame is plain, two black square legs at the outer ends, so the space beneath stays open for a chair to roll in from either side.
The top comes from solid boards, joined and levelled by hand. There is no veneer and no printed edge, so what you see along the front is the real outline of the log. Each desk is made after the order arrives, which is why the edge on yours will not repeat this photo exactly. We send images at every stage for your approval.
The desk ships flat. Top and legs travel as separate packed pieces, which lowers the risk of damage and keeps the freight bill down. Instructions for bolting the legs are printed and packed in the crate, and our team helps by email if you get stuck.
