About this piece

A single line of wood rises to a sharp hooked tip, swings down through a long belly and finishes in a tight curl at the far end. The piece has no frame and no backing panel, so the wall itself becomes the negative space around it. Grain follows the curve the whole way, darker in the bends and lighter along the crown of each sweep.

The scroll is shaped from solid hardwood and brought to a soft low sheen by hand, which keeps every ring and figure readable. There is no veneer and nothing is printed. We carve each one after it is ordered, and the workshop sends photos at key stages so you can see your piece before it is finished.

It arrives packed flat and padded in a crate with wall mounting hardware and printed instructions. If anything about hanging it is unclear, send us a message and we will talk you through it. Delivery is free to anywhere in the world, and returns are accepted within 30 days.

At each step we wait for your approval: only when you are happy do we move to the next stage, and the piece ships the same way. Until production starts, you can cancel at no cost.
