Freeform Ribbon Wave Wall Sculpture, Made to Order

Nothing backs this one and nothing frames it. What hangs on the wall is a single sweeping ribbon of wood, dipping and rising three times across its length like a length of cloth caught in a slow current. The edges thin down to a fine lip, the hollows scoop deep enough to hold shadow, and the whole thing floats a few inches off the plaster.

The ribbon is shaped from solid wood blocks joined into one continuous run, then carved and sanded across the joins until they read as one board. Because the surface curls, the figure inside the walnut turns with it: pale sapwood along the high crests, darker heartwood pooling in the troughs. The finish is buffed into the wood so the grain stays honest and the curve stays soft under the hand. Each piece is carved once you place your order.

It travels in sections, which protects the thin crest edges and keeps freight sensible for something this long. The sections align with fixed guides, the instruction sheet walks through the order of assembly, and the concealed mount sets the float distance for you. Our team will help if any step feels fiddly.
