About this piece
An eagle drops into a dive with both wings thrown open, head low, beak turned toward the room. The tail fans out behind it and every feather group is cut as its own layer, so the bird holds real depth off the wall. There is no backing board. The silhouette is the piece.
It is carved from solid wood blocks joined into one mass, worked down by hand until the feather edges are crisp and the body stays rounded. The finish keeps the pale honey grain visible, and the darker streaks happen to fall along the wings where the light catches them. Each bird is made to order.
Delivery arrives in sections so the outstretched wingtips are not put at risk and the freight stays reasonable. The parts fit with the included hardware and instructions, and our team will help if a wing needs coaxing into place. It suits a chimney breast, a study wall, or an entry where it can be seen from below.
