Assembly & Care

Assembly. Each piece ships in parts for safe transit and assembles easily, with clear instructions and the hardware included.

Care. Dust weekly with a soft dry cloth. Once or twice a year, wipe on a thin coat of furniture oil and buff off the excess. Wipe spills promptly. Avoid silicone sprays and supermarket polishes.

Placement. Keep the piece away from active heating vents and constant direct sun, in a room with reasonably stable humidity. Full care guide

Shipping & Return

Shipping. Free on every order, worldwide. Estimated delivery is 12 to 17 business days: 7 to 10 to prepare your piece and 5 to 7 in transit. Orders placed after 5:00 PM PST are processed the next business day. Tracking is emailed within 1 to 2 business days of dispatch.

Changes. To change or cancel an order, email hello@burlholt.com within 6 hours of placing it.

Returns. Return an unused piece within 30 days of delivery, in its original condition and packaging with all hardware. We cover return shipping for items that are defective, damaged in transit or incorrect. Custom or personalized pieces cannot be returned. Approved refunds are processed within 2 business days of inspection.

About this piece

The top is a wide slab with both long sides left as the tree finished them, so the outline wanders instead of running straight. Figure crowds the surface, dark feathering around old knots and light streaks pulling toward the far corner, and the slab is thick enough to show a deep band of end grain at the front. It rests on two legs cut from branching stock, each splitting into a fork near the floor.

Slab and legs are solid wood milled from real timber, with no veneer and no printed figure anywhere on the piece. The forks are shaped by hand, then joined so the load sits over the widest part of each leg. Made to order means the wandering edge, the knots and the color come from boards picked for your build alone. You see photos at each stage and approve them before work continues.

It arrives knocked down, with the top and the two legs packed apart. Splitting the weight protects the shaped edges in transit and cuts the freight cost. Printed assembly instructions travel in the crate, and our team replies by email if a bracket puzzles you. Free worldwide delivery on every order, tracking emailed at dispatch, and 30 day returns.
