Desert Canyon Wall Panel for a Calm Modern Hallway

One small figure stands at the bottom of a carved canyon, and everything around it is grain. Pale layered strata sweep in from the left in long horizontal cuts, while the right side rises into dark swirling ridges that fold over each other. Warm light gathers along the top of one ridge, which makes the whole span feel like late afternoon.

Two joined sections make up the composition, each built from solid wood blocks laminated into a slab and then carved down. The tonal split between the pale floor and the dark walls comes from the timber itself rather than from stain, so it shifts slightly with every piece. Carving begins once your order is in.

Shipping is done in sections, which protects the fine strata lines and keeps freight from getting out of hand. On site you join the two halves, mount the cleat, and set the piece in place; the seam runs vertically through the canyon and reads as part of the composition.
