Most people see the slope before anything else. Dark heartwood rises from the lower left in one long curve, layered like a dune face at dusk, while the upper half stays pale and almost empty. Then the eye catches the figure standing on the ridge, no taller than a thumbnail, and the whole panel turns into a question about distance.

The contrast is not stain and it is not paint. It is the natural line where the heartwood of the tree meets its sapwood, kept whole by carving through solid blocks that were joined before a single cut was made. The flowing bands are shaped with gouges, refined by hand, then oiled so the chocolate and honey tones stay separate and true. Each piece is carved to order, so the figure in the wood will be yours alone.

It ships in parts, packed flat and padded, which protects the carved edges far better than one large box would. Wall hardware and a clear assembly guide are included.
