Bookshelf on a Solid Carved Plinth Base, Walnut Hardwood

A thick crescent wall wraps the left side and arcs over the top, then folds back down the right into two pointed horns. Inside, four straight shelves cross the opening at different heights, so books stand in the lower bays while vases sit on the narrow upper ledges. The whole shell rests on a flat slab base that reads as one piece with the body. Grain runs the length of the arc and darkens where the wall thickens.

The shell is built from real solid wood, cut and worked by hand until the outer curve stays even from base to tip. Nothing is veneered and no grain is printed on. Each piece is started after your order lands, so the figure across the crescent belongs to your boards alone. Progress photos come from the shop at each stage for your approval.

Delivery comes disassembled. The shell sections, shelves and base are packed separately so nothing takes the weight of another part in transit, and the smaller cartons cost less to move.
