The Collection
Wood Lamps
Every piece in this collection is a solid wood turned base with the wiring channel drilled through the core. No two are identical, since each comes from its own section of timber. Search wooden floor lamp, lamp floor wood, wood light lamp and wooden lamp. They all live on this page.
The collection splits into a few real forms: Floor Lamp, Table Lamp and With Wood Shade Lamp. Most pieces fit a living room or a bedroom. One thing to know before you order: the wiring is internal to a turned base, so a damaged cord means a repair through the base not a simple external swap.
Before you buy
Wood Lamps: questions, answered
Is this solid wood or veneer?+
Every wooden floor lamp here is a solid wood turned base with the wiring channel drilled through the core. There is no veneer, no MDF and no particle board anywhere in the build.
Do these come in more than one size?+
Most pieces in this collection come in several sizes, with exact dimensions and a price for each size on the product page. Measure the spot in your living room or bedroom first, then check the largest dimension against it before you commit.
What should I check before placing an order?+
The wiring is internal to a turned base, so a damaged cord means a repair through the base not a simple external swap.
When will my order ship?+
Production starts once you place the order and takes 5 to 7 weeks. Checkout shows a dated delivery window, and free white glove delivery covers the US and UK.
What does the warranty cover?+
Every piece carries a 10 year structural warranty on the frame and joinery. Separate from that, you have 30 days to return it in full if it does not suit the room.
Will it need much upkeep?+
Dust with a soft cloth and condition the wood with a light coat of furniture oil once or twice a year. Solid wood wears in over time, and small marks can usually be buffed out.
This collection holds one idea: a wooden floor lamp should outlast the trend that made you buy it. Each one is a solid wood turned base with the wiring channel drilled through the core, cut from solid stock and finished by hand.
Getting the wooden floor lamp right for your space
Layer the light
A floor lamp fills the corner a ceiling fixture cannot reach and softens the whole room. A table lamp works closer, for reading or a desk. Most rooms want both, at different heights, rather like the room has depth after dark.
The seated eye line
When you sit, the bottom of a lamp shade should land near eye level. Higher and the bulb glares. Lower and the light pools uselessly at the base.
Warm bulbs flatter wood
A bulb around 2700K brings out the amber in walnut grain. Cooler office light flattens it. The lamp body is solid turned wood, so give it light that shows the material off.
What the collection covers
The designs run from floor lamp to table lamp and with wood shade pieces, all cut from the same solid stock. If you are building the whole room around wood, the same grain and construction run through our wood sideboards and wood nightstands, so the space can carry one idea from wall to wall.
The case for solid wood
The honest comparison is simple. Particle board with a printed skin cannot be repaired, only replaced. A solid hardwood wooden floor lamp can be sanded, re-oiled and handed down. One is a purchase cycle. The other is a purchase.
