The Collection
Wood Chairs
Every piece in this collection is a wood frame joined at the mortise, not screwed through the seat. No two are identical, since each comes from its own section of timber. Search wooden chair, wooden bar chairs, woods chairs and chair in wood. They all live on this page.
The collection splits into a few real forms: Dining Chair, Accent Chair, Rocking Chair and Armless Side Chair. Most pieces fit a dining room or a living room. One thing to know before you order: upholstered versions need the fabric checked separately for durability; the frame is the part that is solid wood.
Before you buy
Wood Chairs: questions, answered
Is this solid wood or veneer?+
Every wooden chair here is a wood frame joined at the mortise, not screwed through the seat. There is no veneer, no MDF and no particle board anywhere in the build.
Do these come in more than one size?+
Most pieces in this collection come in several sizes, with exact dimensions and a price for each size on the product page. Measure the spot in your dining room or living room first, then check the largest dimension against it before you commit.
What should I check before placing an order?+
Upholstered versions need the fabric checked separately for durability. The frame is the part that is solid wood.
When will my order ship?+
Production starts once you place the order and takes 5 to 7 weeks. Checkout shows a dated delivery window, and free white glove delivery covers the US and UK.
What does the warranty cover?+
Every piece carries a 10 year structural warranty on the frame and joinery. Separate from that, you have 30 days to return it in full if it does not suit the room.
Will it need much upkeep?+
Dust with a soft cloth and condition the wood with a light coat of furniture oil once or twice a year. Solid wood wears in over time, and small marks can usually be buffed out.
This collection holds one idea: a wooden chair should outlast the trend that made you buy it. Each one is a wood frame joined at the mortise, not screwed through the seat, cut from solid stock and finished by hand.
Getting the wooden chair right for your space
Fit the room first
Most pieces in this collection are sized for the dining room or living room. Measure the wall or floor space you can give the piece, then check it against the largest dimension listed on the product page. Each size shows its own price, so you can compare before you commit.
Worth knowing before you order
Upholstered versions need the fabric checked separately for durability. The frame is the part that is solid wood.
Care takes one line
Dust with a soft cloth and condition the wood with a light coat of furniture oil once or twice a year. Small marks buff out over a weekend, and the surface only looks better for the use.
What the collection covers
The designs run from dining chair to accent chair and rocking chair pieces, all cut from the same solid stock. If you are building the whole room around wood, the same grain and construction run through our wood candle holders and wall arts, so the space can carry one idea from wall to wall.
The case for solid wood
The honest comparison is simple. Particle board with a printed skin cannot be repaired, only replaced. A solid hardwood wooden chair can be sanded, re-oiled and handed down. One is a purchase cycle. The other is a purchase.
